*This note I write to just make me remember how the great experience I had

Chungnam National University, Daejeon, South Korea
November 29 - December 23, 2010

1st Day, Nov 29

• arrived at Incheon International Airport, Seoul, South Korea. Picked up by Mrs. Rani
• We met married couple who help us to claim our baggage
• We ride the bus along together to Daejeon for around 2 hours. We drop in at the rest area (like bus terminal). We ate boiled potatto an drunk capuccino
• arrived at Nuri Hall, check in, and go for lunch
• Had lunch with "tongkase". We introduced to mas Rahmat, mbak Dewi, and Hana who are studying in here
• go to HomePlus together with others to buy daily needs
• about 7.30pm go back to dormitory
• go to sleep

2nd Day, Nov 30

• picked up by Mrs. Rani to train us how to get a campuss by bus
• got lunch at CNUS's dormitory
• played around at Gungdong with mbak Dewi and mbak Veli
• go back to department, we met Mr Raju, Dungwon, Nuri, Chow and the others
• Had a welcoming party with Prof Jun and the others. We ate "talki kalba", it means "dada ayam"
• going home at 7.30pm

3rd Day, Dec 1

• The first time go to campuss to do some activities
• played internet at laboratory, help Mr Raju's experiment, I arrange a small tube in a case, almost along day
• introduced by Prof Jun to Prof Hong about our existence. We will move to another departments (agricultural economics dept)
• back to the lab, and help Mr Raju again, go home at 6.30pm

4th Day, Dec 2

• We left our dormitory at 11.51am
• After we arrived at the bus stop which in front of CNU main gate we have to walk until agricultural economics dept because that was a lunch time
• we drop in Biotech canteen first, we met Mrs Rani, we bought a small bottle of coffee, you know what the taste is bitter but I have to drink that coffee
• We go to Prof Hong room and we introduced to Prof Kim (our lecturer for today)
• We met new friends : Jungwon and one other during waitting the class is started
• Sit in class, we observe around the class. We saw students activity at there, the girls are good style and beautiful off course. I like that!!!!!!!!!
• class is over, we ask permission to Prof Hong and Prof Kim before we going home
• When we going back, we met CNU student is patching iyf world camp pamflet. We talk for a while
• before we are already arrived to main gate, we met new friends again. And we go to rest room together. I dont know who they are, they said they are looking for new friends to improve their English. After a half hour and they teach me about what the exactly happened in Dec 25, we just know they are missionary, Im scary!!!!!!
• After we finished with their we separate each other, We drop in HomePlus first
• Arrived at 7.30pm

5th Day, Dec 3

• I woke up at 6am, dawn praying then I go to bed again and woke up at 9am
• I left from dormitory to take Friday Praying at 11.16am to CNU. its my first time I take Friday Praying in this country
• Im waitting for mas Rahmat at popeyes cafe, near with CNU student dormitory. I introduced to Kenny and Abigail, exchange students from Singapore
• we walk along together to Gungdong but we took a lunch first because mas Rahmat really hungry but Im not
• After finished lunch, me and mas rahmat took Friday Praying at Gungdong Islamic Center, third floor. The leader of communal praying is Mr arifin from Indonesia, I really proud to his
• Im coldness when I going home because today is windy, and the wind is cold
• After I arrived at dormitory, I go to bed and wake up at 5.16pm, and sleep again

6th Day, Dec 4

• We have a plan before to go to Gyeongju Traditional Village with mbak dewi and Haipei (exchange student from China)
• we departed from dormitory at 5 am, we took a taxi because the bus doesnt operate yet
• We met to each other at Emart, 5.30am, and go to Daejeon Express Terminal together by 102 bus
• Gyeongju is around 2 hours from Daejeon terminal
• we take a small tour in Gyeongju ourselves. we passed all our tour by walk and I think its like a backpacker, very interesting!!!!
• We go back to Daejeon at 7pm, and arrived at Daejeon Terminal at 9pm
• we arrived at dormitory around 11pm
• And the conclusion of this day , today is really nice

7th Day, Dec 5

• I spent along my day to take a rest in my room, searching something on internet
• I met new friends from China when Im cooking in common kitchen for lunch, They name are Lisa and Xiaongli. They are twin. They are beautiful and very kind. Lisa and Xiaongli are 21 years old

8th Day, Dec 6

• We left our dormitory at 11.30am, took lunch in Biotech canteen
• we took a part of agricultural economics subject but before we entered class we met Prof Hong first
• we dont know that women who was I met her at elevator is a lecturer of my class
• The class is over then we go back to dormitory bu we must ask permission to Prof Hong
• after we dicussion with Prof Hong bout the schedule, tomorrow there is no class and it means tomorrow is holiday
• We arrived at dormitory at 5.10pm

9th Day. Dec 7

• Today there is no class can we took so I spent my time to take a rest in dormitory
• playing with laptop, searching something on internet, watching Korean drama, etc

10th Day, Dec 8

• we left our dormitory at 11.30am, took lunch at Biotech canteen with similliar menu yesterday monday
• we took a part of Prof Gim class, the subject is research method
• class divide into 2 season, first for theory and second season for exhibition (not practical). The class is over at 5.30pm
• We have to walk until main gate and from main gate to the nearest bus stop because campuss bus is stop operate (out of bus time)
• Today is the last class that we can take so after this day, I have no activity in the class,maybe I will back to laboratory
• we arrived at dormitory at 7.15pm

11th Day, Dec 9

• I take a rest at my room from morning until evening
• I went to KAIST at 5.30pm to join end year party KAIST ONE. This party is so awesome because Indonesian profile was introduced at this party, and I really proud. There are many interested activity, like Yogyakarta dance, Bali dance, Indonesian foods, and off course Indonesian people
• We go back to dormitory at 9pm

12th Day, Dec 10

• I doesnt have activity today
• I took Friday Praying at Gungdong Islamic Center
• I met Chairil, an exchange student from Daejeon University, who was I met him at previous week at the same chance
• I met Fadhil (Brunei), Hari, mas Muttaqien, Gustho too
• had a lunch at Maroco Food, we ordered same menu, that is kebab

13th Day, Dec 11

• Today is weekend, and we have plan to go to Namdaemun, Seoul, South Korea to bought some gifts
• We met at front of E-mart at 6.30am
• We go to along together to Daejeon station by subway, and continued our trip to Seoul station by KTX for an hours
• After we arrived at Seoul station, we took subway again to go to Namdaemun Market
• We (me, sofa, Mrs Rani, mas rahmat, hana, kenny, abigail, anh) shop at this place
• after we have finished with this place, we have a plan to go to Myongdong but we took a lunch first
• at myongdong market, I bought children bags and earrings for my nephew and nieces
• you know what, at the nature republic (still in Myongdong market), Anh bought many cosmetic products. She said that she want to sell it again in Vietnam because cosmetic product is very expensive in Vietnam
• Shopping time is over and we took dinner at KFC (still in Myongdong market)
• We are going back to Daejeon, and arrived at Daejeon station at 10.45pm
• we took dinner again in Chinesse restaurant, we ordered shrimp fried rice. It makes me remember with Indonesian food
• We (sofa and me) arrived at 1.30 am
• I will never forget for today because its my first time I shop many things, I never do this before, but so far so good

14th Day, Dec 12

• Im so tired after we come back from shopping yesterday. I woke up at 7.56am, and sleep again until 12pm
• Today I just take a rest at dormitory, to make my body refresh

15th Day, Dec 13

• I go to campuss at 1.30pm, we are still tired, but we have to
• We took a lunch before in Biotech canteen, we ate soybean curd and the taste is delicious than before
• Our exchange program is back to laboratory. We gave some helps to Mrs Rani experiments. We counted DNA concentration, arrange tubes, and many more
• we back to dormitory at 6.30pm, we took dinner together. we feel so satisfied tonight because we ate many foods

16th Day, Dec 14

• Sofa got influenza I have to go to campuss alone
• I left dormitory at 9.30am
• I did some helps for Mrs Rani's experiments, like yesterday. I spent my day in this laboratory, I join Prof Jun's friends conference about how to reduce methane that produced by poultry. I dont know what the exactly he presented because he present in Korean
• I get back to dormitory at 6.15 pm, I drop in a shop to bought dinner
• Go to sleep at 7.58pm

17th Day, Dec 15

• Sofa still sick today
• There is no activity I can do in laboratory, so I write my diary of exchange program on computer along a day
• Im go back to the dormitory at 5.30pm
• I drop in first in HanSot (Gungdong Market) to buy some food, Fried chicken
• I arrived at dormitory at 6 pm

18th Day, Dec 16

• Today I go to campuss alone again because Sofa still sick
• Leave from dormitory at 9.30 am
• Take a bus transport together with other students
• Like yesterday, Im doing some experiments, not like a real experiments, just arranging tubes, recording a result, writting number on the tube. Yeahh.. I doing that almost the day. But Its okey than I dont have some to do
• Like yesterday too, I buy fried chicken at HanSot
• 5.30 pm I arrived at my room

19th Day, Dec 17

• Today is Friday. I think I dont have some to do in laboratory so I decided to absent today
• I just take a rest inside my room and go to mosque when the Friday praying time
• After praying, me and the Indonesian students (mas Rahmat, Chairil, Gustho, Fadhil, Hari, Arif) go to Maroko International Food to buy kebab. I think the place is our favorite after we had a Friday Praying, and kebab is our favorite menu. Actually, kebab is the cheapest we cant afford to buy others menu, so expensive
• After we eat. We are say goodbye to mas Rahmat because he will come back to Indonesia tomorrow. He have finished his exchange program in Chungnam
• Im come back to dormitory alone, and buy some food to HanSot for me and Sofa. I think HanSot become a favorite for us to buy some food
• When I arrived to dormitory Sofa said : "Why you arent go to campuss??? Mrs. Dyah are looking for you!!! She wants you to give your reason!!!" hehhee~~I dont know what will I say to Mrs. Dyah and finally Im not call her
• Im continuing to finish our report of exchange program

20th Day, Dec 18

• Today I dont have some to do. Our report has done and Sofa has sent to Mrs. Dyah. Mrs. Dyah will check it
• Suddenly, Im remember I really want to go to Daejeon World Cup Stadium
• Actually I dont know where is the place, I just know from the traffic sign that Daejeon World Cup Stadium approximately 5 km from main gate of Chungnam National University. I go alone because Sofa still sick
• After I arrive at the main gate I walked 5 km until I find out the Stadium
• I took many pictures out there
• After I finish with the Stadium, Im trying to walk along the road and I did not realize I had reached the 212 bus lane. 212 is a bus which me and Sofa takes to go to campuss everyday.
• Im feel tired so I decided to come back
• Im coming back by walk too, It hurts me, make thirsty and hungry
• Im passed Gungdong to buy some food. I bought junk food and HanSot. When I bought junk food Ahjumma asked me but I dont know what she said because she say in Korea. After She asked me "...hmmm..Filipin??? then I answered No, Indonesia"..OOhhh...
• I arrived at the dormitory at 5 pm

21th Day, Dec 19

• We (me, Sofa, and Mrs Dyah) have an appoinment to go to downtown, just hang out and buy some gift before we come back to Indonesia
• We met together at Daejeon subway
• Before we go ride a subway, Mrs. Dyah buy a ticket, and me and Sofa refill our card.
• We took many pictures as a documentation
• And finally, we (me and Sofa) had a funny story. We entered subway, it was very crowded. Finally me and Sofa find seat we can sit. And if you know, Sofa sit next to crazy boy. He asked a question (in Korea) and Sofa answered. hahhaaa~~that made me laughing out loud. Sofa doesnt know if he is crazy, really crazy
• Finally we arrived at downtown
• We are looking for Korean t-shirt but we dont find it
• We met Indonesian labor (TKI) at An-Noor Mosque
• Before we are going home we eat some food, Im forget what its name in Korea, but I called it seafod in a big and hot pan

22th Day - 23h Day, 20 Dec - 21Dec

• We (me and Sofa) trying to finish our report of exchange program because it has needed to revision
• We spend almost our day in laboratory
• We (me, Sofa, Mrs. Dyah, Prof Jun, Raju, Dongwon, Noori, Chow, and 3 others) had a lunch together. We eat ramyon, a hot and boiled ramyon. It means farewell party for us

24th Day, 22 Dec

• Today is a last day to our exchange program at Chungnam National University
• We submitted our report to Prof Jun and Prof Hong. We say thank you to both of them. And also we say thank you to Raju, Noori, Dongwong, Woo Young, Chow all of lab member because tomorrow we have to leave South Korea
• We going home earlier than usual to pack our stuffs
• Before I sleep I bought 2 bottles of Soju that I want to give my friends, not for me

25th Day, 23 Dec

• I woke up at 4 am, take a bath, prepare my suitcases
• I go downstairs by elevator, I submitted my keyroom, I go to bus stop by taxi. Byeee..Byeee.. Nuri Hall..Bye..Byee..my comfort dormitory!!!! Nice stay with you
• We took airport bus
• After we (me, Sofa and Mrs. Dyah) arrived at Incheon airport, we checked in, buy gifts again, take a breakfast. And finally we departed.
• Byeee...Byeee...Chungnam.. Byeee..Byee..Daejeon...Byeee..Byee...South Kore..Byee..Byee..everybody out there.. Its nice know you..It was a great experience for me...Wish me to come back for you...even just to holiday
